multinational clients, we are looking for career oriented SAS Administrator. The
client has locations in US and Gurgaon.
JOB DESCRIPTION /
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a SAS Platform Administrator, you will be
responsible for all aspects of our application environment. You will work
collaboratively with customers, analysts, developers and other implementation
team members to engineer enterprise software installations and to manage,
diagnose, debug, design, and prototype SAS and third-party enterprise class
software systems. You will support the team with issue resolution, user
administration, training, expertise, and best practices with respect to
application technology and architecture, work with the IT division to ensure
that hardware choices are appropriate for the solution, write design documents
with supporting justification for architectural choices, and arbitrate as well
as enforce design decisions that have a broad impact while performing other
duties as assigned. You will be responsible for the systems design,
implementation, maintenance and support of the SAS 9 software and SAS servers
across an enterprise-wide infrastructure that is consistent with our business
objectives and customer requirements.
Duties Include, but not limited to:
- Installation, administration, maintenance and
support of SAS Enterprise software and solutions
- Designing and implementing SAS installs to ensure
scalability and reliability
- Integration of SAS software with systems and other
third-party software
- Engineering application implementations based on
requirements and sizing assessments
- Developing tools and software to manage SAS and
third-party software
- Diagnosing software problems and engineering workarounds
- Documenting, reporting, tracking and implementing
fixes for software problems with appropriate vendor

- Do you have Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably Computer
Science or related field?
- Do you have 5 years of experience in systems support, user support, customer
support or training of enterprise class software and/or hardware?
- Do you have experience with one or more client/server operating systems?
- Do you have direct experience with installation, use, and support of SAS
Enterprise software?
- Do you have strong systems administration and Unix, Linux and Windows skills?
- Do you have understanding of
security, performance, server design, Microsoft Windows integration, SAS
products, and storage?
- Do you have understanding
of application security?
- Do you have understanding
of application performance and tuning?
- Do you have knowledge of
change management procedures and version control?
- Do you have ability to
comprehend the details of complex, multi-tier, system and application software?
- Do you have ability to
effectively communicate designs and decisions to peers, customers and
management?
- Are
you based at Gurgaon / Delhi NCR or willing to relocate here?

PREFERENCE WILL BE

- More than five years of
software support experience, which includes experience implementing and
administering SAS 9 BIA software
- Experience programming in
SAS DataStep and Macro
- Experience in computer
capacity planning and performance analysis
- Experience in project
management
- Experience with Unix
scripting in Perl or Shell
- Broad understanding of SAS
products, data structures, and programming technologies
- Strong analytic, inductive,
and deductive reasoning skills
- Ability to comprehend the
details of complex system software
