For one of our prestigious
multinational clients, we are looking for a Global Business Development Director
(Aviation ERP Software Products). This is a senior management level position.
The base location can be Chennai / Bangalore/Delhi /Gurgaon/NCR/ Mumbai. The
aviation background is desired, however, can be relaxed for candidates with
proven track record in business development in ERP space.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the Business
Development efforts across the globe and responsible for creating new business
growth
- Liaise with sales,
marketing and operations to identify scope and create new business
opportunities
- Develop and maintain
strategic relationships with customers, prospects and industry leaders
extensively
- Provide general business
management support and knowledge to internal stakeholders
- Ensure team synergies
across the globally dispersed core and virtual teams supporting the bid
process, including bid management, demo, solution & presales, Sales
- Display Thought Leadership by
preparing articulations, GTM strategies, Publishing White Papers, participating
in Industry Forums/Events & Developing Case Studies. Manage and co-ordinate
market and feasibility studies
- Develop good understanding of
the designate industry segment (Aviation) and update knowledge periodically on
market indicators, IT Spend, outsourcing trends, top 25-30 customers,
opportunities available
- Nurture good relationship
with key groups of people across aviation dept. who will help with product and
market level content when needed
- Ready to embark on a short,
steep learning curve to acquire product and market knowledge for churning out
first level content drafts for marketing collaterals, campaigns etc.
- Lead a team of functional
consultants and mentor them on Presales and customer engagement
- When needed actively
participate in traveling to events globally

- Are you a B-Tech/BE or equivalent from a reputed
institute (IITs/NITs or institutes of similar repute? Additional MBA degree
will be an added advantage.
- Do you have 15 to 20 years proven experience in Business
Development/Sales/Presales of enterprise software products?
- Do you have experience in business
development/sales/presales for global markets?
- Are you known
to take personal initiatives in order to excel?
- Are you an
upbeat, energetic, and a go-getter individual?
- Have you established
industry connects, and have excellent networking skills?
- Are you known to
be someone with “Fire in the belly”?
- Do you have
varied experience in Business development, Presales, Sales, Consulting and
everything in between in Aviation or ERP Products
(SAP/Oracle/PeopleSoft/Maximo)?
- Do you enjoy
seamlessly moving between solutioning, presales, demo and focus sales?
- Do you enjoy providing
guidance, coordination and thought leadership for Presales team members?
- Do you have in
you to be An Enabler – A Collaborator – A Networker - A Finisher?
- Do you have great communications skills?
